A Bad Debt
Gun is a loan shark. Having worked hard for years, i.e. intimidating and threatening his debtors, he musters just enough money to purchase a house for the family. The plan is at risk, however, when one of his debtors dies and Gun discovers that he is not the only creditor. Out of desperation, he asks for his daughter’s help, who is unwilling to be involved in her father’s shady business. The simmering tension causes a rift in the family.

Yet with the old neighbourhood being redeveloped, the shop’s business dwindles along with the chance for the kind-hearted Lo-mui and Kam-lo, two paper dolls crafted by old Mr. Yeung, to find a master. The dolls hatch a plan to escape in a race against time before their demise.

Find Ourselves In Time
The fairy tale of childhood is that our lives will follow an ideal trajectory. Destiny decides otherwise for Wing-Kai who becomes bedridden, paralysed from the neck down after a car accident. The monotonous hospital life depresses the young man. Years later, he meets a young girl who is caring for her boyfriend in vegetative state, believing that her love will wake him up eventually. Wing-Kai ridicules her innocent optimism. When the young man recovers miraculously, hope reawakens in Wing-Kai who begins rehabilitation training with great fervour. However, time passes and everything remains the same. Sinking into even deeper despair, Wing-Kai tries to regain control over his own destiny.
